My last post about U2 – U2 in Russia.
Bono (Latin: Bonavox, real name Paul Hewson, David, May 10, 1960, Dublin, Ireland) – is an Irish rock musician, the lead singer of rock group U2, which is sometimes also plays rhythm guitars and harmonica .In addition to musical activities, Bono is known for its humanitarian activity in Africa and his efforts to promote the abolition of debts of the poor third world countries. He was knighted in 2007.
Paul David Hewson was born in Dublin Hospital Rotunda. He grew up in a suburb of Glasnevin called Nordsayd with his older brother Norman Robert Hewson, the mother of Iris Houston follower of the Anglican church and the father of Brendan Robert Hewson, a Roman Catholic. Originally, his parents decided that their firstborn would be Anglican. While Paul was the second child, he also attended the service of the Church of Ireland with his mother and brother.
He enrolled in a local primary school Glasnevin National School. September 1974, when Paul was 14 years old, his mother died of a cerebral aneurysm at the funeral. This event had left a huge imprint on Bono and a lot of songs U2, including «I Will Follow», «Mofo» , «Out of Control», «Lemon» and «Tomorrow», devoted to the loss of his mother.
Paul later joined into a single high school Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Clontarf. As a teenager, Paul was in the street gang «Lypton Village». In it he became acquainted with one of his closest friends, Derek «Guggi» Rowan, and later founded another party «Lypton Village» Gavin Friday (Fionan Henvi) art-goth-rock band Virgin Prunes. Ritual gang nickname was distributing to its members. Paul has had several nicknames: first, it was called «Steinvic von Huyseman», then it was reduced to «Huyseman», then «Houseman», «Bon Murray», «Bono Vox of O’Connell Street», and finally just «Bono». U2 tickets in Los Angeles will open Bono’s personality more diply.
